Hi, my name is Karen Villiers and I would like to welcome you to my photography blog. This is a place for me to keep a diary of my life as a mother of three beautiful boys who appear often in my photographs and also specials, events and sneak peeks for my clients.

I am a photographer based in the Southern Highlands. I have had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember. I was given my first camera (a pink Brownie) when I was about 11yrs old. I would line my dolls up and take portraits of them, I still have these first shots in albums. Photographs to me are moments in time to treasure. I love looking back at old images and remember special times in my life.

Christmas – Southern Highlands Photographer

Christmas is such a joyful time of year, I look forward to it’s arrival every year with much excitment. I must say this year it was missing slightly but by Christmas Eve it had finally caught up with me. My christmas tree is very special to me. Hanging each decoration takes me back in time to another Christmas. I have so many memories hanging on my tree some sad and some happy but each one cherished as much as the next. I have always loved the excitment of waking up Christmas morning now I am so joyed to share the excitment with my three boys.

Here is a few snaps I would like to share with you of my family this Christmas. Wishing you all the best for this season and the New Year that is about to fall upon us.

Christmas Cherubs – Southern Highlands Children’s Photographer

Potters Playgroup in Mittagong held a fundraiser on Wednesday, I photographed thirteen children in three hours. We had lots of fun and raised some money in the process to go towards the playgroups toy fund. Here is a sneak peek of some the the gorgeous children I got to photograph I truly just love them all.

Can you believe that Christmas is upon us once again. I really do love Christmas but it just seems to come and go so quickly. I am finding more and more that you pack the decorations away one day and then the next you are putting them back up again. I can’t believe how quickly the years are slipping away. It is so important to cherish every moment. I hope you are having fun planning for another Christmas anyway. Have you started your shopping? I actually have two gifts ready which is a first for me.. (o: It has been years since I have been organised. I am so looking forward to putting the tree up. I love decorating the tree. It is my favourite thing about Christmas it just brings the room to life. Here is a few christmas shots of Finlay in my new prop, I love this gorgeous red chair. Finlay loves sitting in it too, he was so excited when I brought it home.
